TIGOSE Member Techniques at Laguna Seca

TIGOSE Member Techniques were at Laguna Seca the weekend before Pebble Beach and also at the main race event the following weekend (again, at Laguna Seca).

One of Techniques’ customers had his Morgan flown out to race there and the team was there to support the car. The Morgan in question has been a successful car in competition since it was built back in 1959 and has continuous racing history.

Techniques support racing Morgans throughout Europe and the UK, however Laguna Seca is certainly the farthest that they have been and are pleased to report that the car performed faultlessly to finish 5th, 4th, 3rd and – for the final race – 2nd.

It entered four races, for sports and GT cars built between 1959 and 1962, out of a strong field of 50 cars that included Ferrari 250 SWB, Maserati 3500GT, Alfa Romeo SZ, lots of Porsche 356s and many other interesting marques. To cap two terrific race weekends, Techniques’ customer was awarded the Bonhams Cup for Spirit of the event.

Techniques was founded in 1988 by Brian Gateson, specialising in Morgan Servicing and Repairs and soon established itself in a well equipped garage in Radlett. Excellent workmanship and the friendly and honest treatment of their customers result in a very loyal customer base.

Now based in Stotfold on the border of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, Techniques attract not only local customers, but also Morgan owners from as far afield as Cornwall, Cumbria, Europe and even the USA.

Techniques is an appointed Morgan Service Dealer and Morgan Motorsport Dealer; services include buying a new or used Morgan, servicing and repairs, upgrades, supplying parts and support if the customer wishes to enter into Morgan Motorsport.
